BRAIN GYM® 101
This 24-hour certificate course is the foundation of the Educational Kinesiology program. Great for parents, teachers, therapists, coaches, and counsellors to understand more about how stress impacts learning and to techniques to open up learning .
Learning blocks occur when the individual is under stress and information cannot flow freely and integrate easily within the brain, the sensory systems and the body. There is an imbalance somewhere in the system! Brain Gym®'s movements stimulate the communication in the system, restore balance, freeing the innate ability to learn and function at top efficiency. The 26 movements are designed to intentionally awaken and activate the left and right hemispheres, accessing cognitive capacities, making learning more enjoyable and comfortable.
Brain Gym® draws on techniques from many fields such as applied kinesiology, chiropractic, developmental optometry, and psychology to assist with whole-brain integration.
In this fully-experiential course, participants learn the 5-step balance process, 26 safe and easy-to-do Brain Gym® movements and Dennison Laterality Repatterning. The change and understanding begins with each participant experiencing their own rapid and dramatic improvements in one or more of these areas: concentration, focus, organization, communication, reading, writing, listening, creativity and much more.
